Right to Bear Arms

Let us consider the Second Amendment.

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

I support the second amendment. I also support greater regulation for gun ownership. I would like to walk through a city at night without having a 9mm pointed at my head. Keep dreaming. I know.

However, my reasoning is this. There are regulations/fees to owning and operating a vehicle. The regulations should just as be stringent to owning a weapon for every state. Do not let a mentally unstable individual own a gun.

Right to Bear Arms is great, but right to be alive is more important. Respect the gun. It is not a toy or a video game component.

1. Going to College is for snobs. Santorum himself went to Penn State.
